Peter Bentz

Pete is one of the founding members of the band and has been with the GBB since 1999. A career military bandsman, Pete has held several duty assignments in the United States and Europe. During his military career, he has had the honor to perform for many dignitaries and heads of state as well as, and more importantly the troops. Pete holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Coker College in South Carolina that he achieved while serving at Ft Jackson. He came to Atlanta and the Army Ground Forces Band in 1992 from the Armed Forces School of Music where he served as the Brass Branch Head teaching trumpet and managing other brass instructors. At the Army Ground Forces Band at Ft McPherson he served as the Trumpet section. After retiring from the United States Army, Pete began a career in the technology sector where he currently works as a technical lead for a team of Windows Server Administrators for Lockheed Martin Corporation. Pete currently lives in Marietta, GA with his wife.
