The 2009-2010 concert season marks the 10th Anniversary Season of the Georgia Brass Band.
The band's first concert took place in September 1999 at Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Stone Mountain, Georgia. The major works on our first program included Ball's The Kingdom Triumphant and Downie's Purcell Variations. Many fine players have come and gone from our ranks over the years, yet seven band members remain from that first concert. The band has come a long way in ten years. We have performed for thousands of people, appeared on radio and television, won competitions, and become recognized as one of the top brass bands in the country. We've also had the chance to play with many of the foremost soloists in the international brass community. The first ten years have been both challenging and exciting. We are confident the next ten years will see the band continue to grow as we strive to present outstanding musical experiences for our audiences.
Our 10th Anniversary Season will present many new opportunities for the band. We will perform in a number of new venues and have even commissioned a new work for this season. Here is a peek at what we have on the books already:

Benefit Concert: Flood of Friendship
Powder Springs Town Center
The band is one of the featured groups in this concert to benefit flood-ravaged
portions of metro Atlanta. The performances run from 11:00-6:00 and there are
