The Salvation Army has been a major supporter of the Georgia Brass Band for the past several years. The Salvation Army's Atlanta Temple Corps generously provides needed rehearsal space and storage space for the band and has been a gracious and accommodating host to us. The band, in turn, is pleased to help Atlanta Temple with its Christmas fundraising effort and is hosting an Online Red Kettle. You no doubt have seen the Army's red kettles on street corners and in malls for years. Now you can make a contribution to a virtual kettle via a secured web link. You don't need to leave your home or deal with holiday crowds. Simply click on the link above on our homepage and follow the simple instructions. It is quick and easy. Most importantly, you will know that your contribution is being used by a worthy organization to help those in need in your community. You will receive an email receipt for your donation and you may designate where you would like your donation to be used by entering the appropriate zip code. Online Red Kettle donations will be accepted through December 31.
The band respectfully asks that you consider supporting those that support us.
Thanks, and have a great holiday season. We hope to see you at our next concert.

The 2009-2010 concert season marks the 10th Anniversary Season of the Georgia Brass Band. The band's first concert took place in September 1999 at Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Stone Mountain, Georgia. The major works on our first program included Ball's The Kingdon Triumphant and Downie's Purcell Variations. Many fine players have come and gone from our ranks over the years, yet seven band members remain from that first concert. The band has come a long way in ten years. We have performed for thousands of people, appeared on radio and television, won competitions, and become recognized as one of the top brass bands in the country. We've also had the chance to play with many of the foremost soloists in the international brass community. The first ten years have been both challenging and exciting. We are confident the next ten years will see the band continue to grow as we strive to present outstanding musical experiences for our audiences.
Our 10th Anniversary Season will present many new opportunities for the band. We will perform in a number of new venues and have even commissioned a new work for this season. Here is a peek at what we have on the books already:

We are a traditional British-style brass band based in Atlanta, Georgia. Incorporated as a not-for-profit educational corporation in the summer of 1999, the GBB's mission is two-fold:
- We strive to expose area audiences to fine British brass band music in concert halls, colleges, churches, and anywhere else where the thrilling sound of brass music is appreciated.
- We provide an opportunity for top-level brass players to hone and showcase their individual and collective talents through rehearsals and performances.
The Georgia Brass Band is available to perform at your party, ceremony, conference, or function. The band has performed at a number of private functions, including pool parties, corporate meetings, nursing home concerts, and holiday gatherings. Don't need a full 30-piece brass band? No problem. Smaller ensembles comprised of band members are also available. Contact us for rates and availability.
